Mazo Hub, bodies appeal against monetary demand

Informing that Mazo Hub has been extending all possible assistance to the crisis-affected people since the beginning of the on-going crisis, the electrical and household appliances store's co-founder Razia Leishangthem has appealed to all concerned to refrain from making unaffordable monetary demand and to allow the store to sustain and help the society.
Addressing a press meet at the store at Sega Road Imphal on Friday, Razia said that the store was launched in 2021 and has since been selling household items and electrical items at discount rate.
The store is also providing employment to 100 youths and extending assistance to crisis affected people of the state.
Unfortunately, the store is receiving multiple monetary demands of hefty amount lately from different organisations thereby posing serious challenge to survival of the store.
It will be forced to down the shutter and cease operation if the demands continue, which will not only affect the store owners but also the 100 employees and their families, she said while urging all to refrain from such demands.
Meanwhile, Maklang Youths' Development Club (MYDC), Maklang United Firm and local Meira Paibi organised a meeting at Maklang Awang Leikai community hall and resolved against monetary demands.
In a release, MYDC said that the people of Maklang have been extending all possible help to the needy from time to time since the conflict broke out and further assured of continuing humanitarian activities.
However, the meeting resolved against monetary demands to individual villagers amidst the trying times, it lamented.
