Imphal, December 22 2023:
The Indigenous People's Forum, Manipur (IPFM) has written to the United Naga Council (UNC) to prevent Kukis from checking the identity of Naga passengers along National Highways 2 and 152 .
In the letter addressed to the UNC president, the IPFM president Ashang Kasar said that Naga commuters have been facing serious hardship and discomforts due to the disruption caused by Kukis along the two National Highways.
Claiming that the Government has ignored their plea to solve the problem, he accused the Government of silently watching the situation along the two Highways.
Claiming that the Government is insensitive, he appealed to the UNC instead to stop the Kukis from checking documents of Naga passengers of Noney, Imphal, Tengnoupal, Senapati and Tamenglong bound vehicles.
