Blue Hawk, AKSDO, ESU, MPA prevail on Day 1 of MNCA U16 boys cricket

Blue Hawk, AKSDO, ESU and MPA emerged the victors on the first day of the 4th MNCA U16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24, which got underway on Monday.
Blue Hawk, Khurai made light work of YUCC, Moirang Purel by recording a 111-run win at Model Hr Sec School & Oriental College Ground.
Put in to bat, Blue Hawk were all out for 166 in 31.2 overs as L Binson led the scoring with 56.The innings saw three wickets of Blue Hawk fell to L Joychand, two each to N kenedy and L Bidyasawor, and one each to N jamesbond and Thoiba.
In their chase, YUCC wilted under pressure and could only muster 55.I Siddarth was the chief destroyer for Blue Hawk, claiming three wickets as E Nikhil picked up two, with W Rex, E Nitish and M Romesh chipping in with one apiece in their thumping victory.
AKSDO, Khangabok, on the other hand, beat YWC-L, Langthabal by two wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground.
The Khangabok boys bowled out their opponents for 126 in 32.5 overs and then chased down the target in 31 overs.
L Nungshiba emerged as the main wicket-taker for AKSDO.
with three wickets.
S Lanchenba and S Dinesh claimed two scalps each and N Sanayai and S Kaiku took one each.
In their chase, AKSDO needed 31 overs to achieve the target with two wickets to spare.
N Sanayai was unbeaten on 40 as L Samson scored 26 and S Dinesh made 8 (not out).
In other matches, ESU outclassed Shadow by five wickets at Lairenjam Cricket Ground, Lairenjam, while MPA, Thounaojam overpowered Al-Ameen by 160 runs at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou, Imphal East.
