Physical fitness & endurance training programme held

An Oath Taking Ceremony cum 6-Days Physical Fitness & Endurance Training Programme was held today at Sinam village in Imphal East district.
It was attended by Manipur Handloom & Handicrafts Development Cooperation Limited & Lamlai AC MLA, Khongbantabam Ibomcha; Social Welfare Minister, Heikham Dingo; Patsoi AC MLA, Sapam Kunjakeswor and Village Protection Force (VPF) convenor, H Somorendro as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Kh Ibomcha expressed his anguish over the distortion of facts and victim card played by the Kuki community despite the numerous atrocities committed against innocent Meitei people by armed Kuki militants since the conflict began on May 3 last.
"The truth about the present unrest has started to unravel and people across the globe are now aware of the real aggressors who are terrorizing innocent civilians", said the MLA while adding that even the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had clarified in the Parliament that Kuki militants based in Manipur and other forces from Myanmar & Bangladesh were behind the present conflict in the State.
He continued that the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also cited the involvement of foreign terrorists in the present conflict of Manipur.
Heikham Dingo appealed to all the people to set aside their differences and come together to protect the State's territorial integrity.
The Minister also appreciated the contributions of VPF in the present conflict and assured to provide all possible assistance to protect the innocent people from the threat of Kuki Narco Terrorists.
Highlighting that it is not the time to play politics when countless lives are at stack, he urged all to extend their cooperation and support the Government's endeavour to protect Manipur from various threats and bring peace & development in the State.
As part of the programme, Sapam Kunjakeswor released a music video album titled, "Ngamnaba Lanfamse" .
