CRPF distributes water storage tanks, filters

A civic action programme was organised by 69 battalion CRPF of Manipur & Nagaland Sector on Monday at Awang Wabagai Shining Club and Khong-' hampat Mantri Leikai Youth Development Club to help the less fortunate residents of the said villages.
At each location, more than 150 civilians took part in the programme during which 66 water storage tanks were given out to 33 needy families each of Awang Wabagai and Mantri Leikai.
Bajrang Lal, the battalion's commandant, gave a motivational and educational speech to close out the event.
The maidens of Khonghampat Mantri Leikai village also performed a traditional cultural during the event, which aimed to provide necessary assistance to the needy people of the society and bridge the gap between security forces and general public.
Meanwhile, 109 Bn CRPF of Manipur & Nagaland Sector conducted a civic action programme at Tunggam Ahi village, Tadubi in Senapati district on Monday during which 32 water portable filters were distributed to the poor and needy families.
The programme was attended by 109 CRPF commandant Bal Krishna Ram as chief guest along with United Naga Council (UNC) president Ng Lohrii, KYSO president H Dazii, Afii Baptist Church pastor L Daikho, Tunggam Afii village chairman Th Benjamin, vice secretary H Rainii, Ahi CRC pastor reverend Ashuli, 109 Bn assistant commandants Alex L Kophom & A Visapunii, OC-D inspector Sinlo Jemu and villagers.
