State rowers shine at Pune nationals

Manipur produced a stellar performance to clinch two gold and one silver medals in the 41st Senior National Rowing Championship at Army Rowing Node, Pune, Maharashtra.
The state pair of Thangjam Priya Devi and Haobijam Tendenthoi Devi shone for Manipur, claiming two gold medals and helping the state win silver medal.
Thangjam Priya Devi and Haobijam Tendenthoi Devi propelled their way to the gold medal in the women's double skulls 2000m event, crossing the finish line with a time of 07:59.5 .
Also in the double skulls 500m event, Thangjam Priya and Haobijam Tendenthoi combined well to clinch the gold medal with a time of 01:36.2 .
On the other hand, the state team made up of Changamayum Priya Devi, Yumnam Chengloulembi Devi, Thangjam Priya Devi and Haobijam Tendenthoi Devi finished second in the women's quadruple skulls to secure the silver medal as Manipur ended their campaign with two gold and one silver medals.
