Imphal, February 03 2024:
Friends in Need Society (Fine Society) Heirok has strongly condemned the firing incident at Medilane Eye Care Store by unidentified miscreants yesterday thereby causing fear.
A press release by Fine Society Heirok secretary general condemned the incident in the strongest terms and demanded that the miscreants involved in the incident should be booked at the earliest by Porompat Police Station and befitting punishments should be awarded as per law.
It may be noted that Medilane Eye Care Store is located opposite to Advance Kripadarshini Hospital, Konung Mamang in Imphal East district.
Fine Society Heirok highlighted that Medilane Foundation has been providing remarkable health care services to the people of the State and striving relentlessly to enhance the health sectors through quality services.
In addition to providing quality healthcare services, the Medilane Foundation has been playing a key role in generating employment for the qualified unemployed youths of the State, it claimed.
In line with the communal violence which first erupted on May 3 last year, Medilane Foundation has been providing free ambulance services for injured village volunteers who have been fighting bravely against the attacks of the Kukis thereby helping in saving many precious lives.
The healthcare foundation has been utilizing its employees towards this noble initiative to ensure that the injured volunteers and victims of the conflict are given proper medical treatment, added the release.
In view of the above significant contributions, Fine Society Heirok maintained that causing fear and intimidating the Medilane Foundation by firing several rounds of bullets to its Eye Care Store is highly condemnable.
The Fine Society Heirok urged the authorities concerned to nab the perpetrators involved in the incident and award stringent punishments to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
