IRB recruits airlifted for training

Imphal, January 15 2024:
New recruits of the 10th and 11th India Reserve Battalion were flown to Assam for training on C-130 aircrafts of the Indian Air Force on Monday.
Source said that 1728 recruits along with 26 instructors and two commandant rank officers were flown to Jorhat in multiple sorties of lAF's C-130 flight.
The new recruits will be trained at Lachit Borphukan Police Academy, Assam.
Earlier, the government planned to despatch the recruits by road but cancelled the plan keeping in view of their security and opted for airlifting.
