Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign begins in Senapati

A two-day Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign for Senapati district has begun at the multipurpose hall of DC Office Complex, Senapati on Monday.
The campaign is being organised by CAF&PD, Senapati along with SDO/BDO Senapati.
Speaking at the campaign, Senapati DC Mamoni Doley informed that it is a nationwide campaign targeting all the GPs and districts for ensuring inclusive development wherein no citizen is left behind.
She said that the campaign is the initiative of the Centre for reaching the unreached, achieving saturation, coverage of schemes and ensuring last mile delivery of flagship schemes through awareness among the beneficiaries about the various schemes, get maximum enrolment and obtain feedback from public about issues faced during enrolment and benefits obtained during the campaign.
She informed that six villages will be covered during the two-day campaign along with pressing into service IEC van for dissemination of information and creating awareness to the public.
She appealed to the SDOs/BDOs and DLOs of the district to co-ordinate in spreading awareness among the public on various programmes.
Doley also said that strict actions will be taken against officials who do not entertain public query.
She further appealed to village chairmen and secretaries to educate villagers about the various schemes relating to health and others like PMAY, MGNREGA, Ujala, PMMVY.
The DC also invited the public to visit office regularly and meet officials for inquiring and availing schemes.
Later, the DC administered the pledge of Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat to all members present.
During Monday's event, Doley distributed six ration cards and two certificates of Har Ghar Jal on completion of Jal Jeevan Mission.
A total of 15 stalls from different departments were also opened and 21 people screened for NCD (Non- Communicable Diseases).
There was also quiz session opened to all in the later part of the session, which was followed by sharing of success stories by the beneficiaries.
It may be mentioned here that VBSY campaign covered Makhrelui, Rikhumai Taphou, Taphou Naga and Taphou Pudunamai on Monday.
The programme was attended by Dr Varun S Mehta, professor of psychiatry, Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, Jharkhand, along with District Health Nodal Officer (DHNO) for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), SDOs, DLOs, village chairmen and secretaries.
