Kids, adults participate in cleanliness drive

Thoubal, September 28 2023: Lilong Municipal Council under Swachhta Hi Sewa 2023 action programme organised a slogan competition at Islamic Baby English School, Lilong, on Tuesday.

A Swachhta pledge function of teachers and students was also held at the school in the presence of the executive officer of Lilong Municipal Council.

The executive officer spoke about the importance of Swachhta Hi Seva to the students of Lilong Haoreibi College and distributed citation awards.

A painting competition was also held at the college.

The municipal council also conducted cleanliness drive at Lilong Alia Makha, Ward No 1, and social service and tree plantation programme around Public Pond of Ward No 5 at Lilong Haoreibi Turel Wangma.

Both children and adults actively participated in the cleanliness drive in the district.

The district administration has been planning daily activities involving volunteers and students.

A cleanliness drive led by the CO of 3rd IRB in collaboration with Thoubal Municipal Council was held at 3rd IRB complex, Khangabok, on Tuesday.

Also, the officer and staff of the District Supply Office conducted a cleanliness drive at fair price shop centres at Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency.

Thoubal PHE Division also conducted a cleanliness drive at Leishangthem Water Supply System.
