Murder of students, SF excesses condemned

Former BJP vice president Adim Pamei has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal murder of two students who had gone missing since July 6.Addressing media persons on Thursday, Adim Pamei said that as a protest against the brutal murder of the two students, large number of students came out and demanded justice but the security personnel used excessive force and caused serious injury to many students which is condemnable.
He also stated that during the protest, office of BJP Thoubal unit was burnt down by miscreants which is also very unfortunate.
He appealed to all concerned not to target offices of any political party in the course of the agitation.
Adim Pamei also said that the crisis in the state has been lingering on for almost 5 months now and we should understand that if the crisis continues, the impact would be immense.
Not only the warring communities but all the communities settling in the state would have devastating impact.
Therefore, all of us should try to bring an end to the present crisis and restore peace and normalcy in the state, he stressed.
Meanwhile, Andro MLA Th Shyamkumar in a telephonic conversation with this daily condemned the excessive force used by the security personnel on the agitating students and demanded that such brutal acts of the security personnel towards to the innocent students be stopped once and for all.
He further informed that the case of killing of two students has been taken over by the CBI and investigation is underway.
He also said that he would ensure that the culprits involved in the heinous crime are punished at the earliest and shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved families.
