NEPO to conduct academic campaign in Delhi

North East Peoples' Organisation (NEPO) Manipur Chapter will organise academic campaign in Delhi to apprise the central leaders, intellectuals, academic fraternity and others across the country on the ground reality of the violence and issues plaguing the state.
Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club on Saturday, NEPO general secretary Laishram Ibomcha said that the academic campaign is being organised to ensure a long-term peaceful solution to issues besetting the state.
As part of the campaign, the Consultative Committee and executive members of NEPO will meet academic fraternities and leaders from June 19 to 22.NEPO's appeal is to formulate a War time Economy, War time Education and War time social structure system to alleviate the difficulties faced by the people of Manipur, he added.
He then strongly condemned the statements nude by Mizoram-based Mizo National Front against All Assam Manipuri Youth Association to read Article 3 of the Indian Constitution before opposing the separate administration demand of Kuki.
It is import -ant to maintain some level of normalcy in the economy, education and professional to prevent the fight against narco-terrorism and deforestation from going astray.
It is equally important for all communities to stand united.
While Mizoram was carved out from Assam, it is impossible for Kuki immigrants from Myanmar to seek separate state from Manipur, he maintained while urging all concerned to shoulder the responsibility to deal with the prevailing issue.
