CM, MP, MLAs gear up to meet Central leaders

Imphal, June 17 2023:
With deployment of large number of central forces unable to contain violence in the state, chief minister N Biren, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba and 14 other MLAs would be visiting Delhi to meet central leaders to discuss the situation.
Source said that some BJP MLAs including Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Satyabrata are already in the national capital.
MP Sanajaoba along with 14 MLAs would be leaving for the national capital on Sunday while CM Biren is likely to head for New Delhi on Monday.
The source said that minsters and MLAs namely Govindas Konthou-jam, Dr Sapam Ranjan, Th Basanta kumar, RK Imo, S Premchandra, Irengbam Nalini, Sapam Kun jakeshwar, Kh Ibomcha, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Th Shyamkumar, Th Shanti, Kh Joykisan and Md Ashab Uddin have booked tickets for different flights.
Speaker Th Satyabrata, minister Heikham Dingo, MLAs Lourembam Rameshwar, Konkham Robindro, S Rajen, T Robindro, Paonam Brojen, Th Radheshyam, Dr Y Radheshyam, Sapam Nishikant, Karam Shyam and Kh Raghumani are already in Delhi.
The MLAs and ministers along with chief minister Biren would be meeting several central leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the situation and chalk out strategies to bring an end to the violence.
Mention may be made that representatives of 10 different political parties from the state are also in the national capital waiting for an appointment with PM Modi.
The representatives include former chief minister O Ibobi, AICC CWC member Gaikhangam, MPCC president K Meghachandra, CPI M secretary Kshetrimayum Shatna and Janata Dal-United chief spokesperson Dr Nimaichand Luwang among others.
