Aid extended to relief camps, medical camp held

Imphal, November 05 2023:
The Managing Committee of New Era Higher Secondary School, Thoubal Okram Wangmataba on Sunday provided edibles and mattresses to the relief camp set up at Laphupat Tera High School for sheltering people displaced by the ethnic conflict in the state on Sunday.
Taking the help of 1984 IAS batch, retired IAS and former chief secretary Oinam Nabakishore provided essential items to the relief camp set up at Oinam Higher Secondary School while students and teachers of Maria Montessori School provided blankets and snacks to Yairipok Santipur relief camp and handed over a sum of Rs 10,000 each to four students who got injured in the protest against killing of Linthoingambi and Hemanjit.
Meanwhile, Taragi Cheisu and Meitei Lallup Kangleipak (Village Volunteer Force) organised a free medical camp at Phayeng Makha Leikai Pathar Bazar community hall.
Doctors from various departments including medicine, surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedic, neuro', ENT, eye and paediatrics examined the people living in relief camps.
Taragi Cheishu JNIMS branch chairman and JNIMS director Dr L Deben and convenor Prof Potsangbam Dhakeswar were present among others during the camp.
