Nemcha hopes central leaders end crisis

Continuing her efforts to reach out to internal ly displaced persons (IDPs), textiles minister Nemcha Kipgen met thousands of IDPs at Kangpokpi district headquarters on Sunday.
Apart from the IDPs staying in relief camps set up in Kangpokpi town, there are also many putting up in rented quarters owing to various factors, mostly health issues.
Kangpokpi Town Committee identified such IDPs staying in rented houses at Kangpokpi town, and the minister reached out to them with relief materials on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen, who also represents Kangpokpi assembly constituency, conceded that similar to the IDPs facing distressful situation for the past six months she too has suffering from nights restless.
"However, I am so proud to figure out that you were strong enough to brave all such sufferings and leading your life most optimistically with prayers," the minister said.
While exhorting them to motivate one another in these trying times, she mentioned that one should put our burdens on God for He will give us rest.
"Stay hopeful and be strong in prayers for God never fails His people," added the minister.
Nemcha also urged the people to pray for the central leaders for their wisdom and wellbeing.
"As we keep our faith and trust in God, always keep our central leaders in your prayers, for their health, wisdom and wellbeing, so, that they can come up with the best solution in solving our problems," she appealed.
Nemcha also assured the people that as the representative of her people, she will never betray them.
During the meeting, Nemcha distributed three blankets each to all the IDPs staying in privately rented houses.
A prominent evangelist, reverend Solal also delivered a speech through the Gospel words and prayed for the IDPs, Nemcha Kipgen and leaders of the Kuki-Zo community on the occasion.
