Imphal, November 05 2023:
Saying that drivers, specially long-distance truck drivers are now facing lot of difficulties as they have been stranded on highways for the last three/four days, the Hill Area Drivers Union (HADU) has appealed to the State Government to reach an agreement with the CSOs which have been imposing bandh/economic blockade on National highways.
A press release issued by HADU president Thaingamlung Panmei said that even rice and drinking water are no longer available to the stranded drivers.
The cold season has already set in and it is compounding the woes of stranded drivers, it said.
