They should also apologise to the teachers of the institution.
Demanding to reinstate the terminated teachers in relation with the ragging case, the meeting resolved to shut down the JNV until they met their demand.
Regarding the decision, the meeting informed the parents of students who are studying in the JNV to take home their children until the restriction is lifted.
It also informed the Principal of the JNV to notified the students to go back home.

On the other hand, the Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) said that the decision of shutting down JNV Khumbong was an unfortunate one.
In a press release, Joint Secretary Lucky Konsam alleged that some vested interested persons are trying to disrupt the academic atmosphere of the institution.
The students involved in the case were dropped in by MSF using the Bolero of the JNV with the permission of the Principal with a thought of maintaining peaceful academic atmosphere in the JNV and resume normal classes.
Lucky stated that some teachers of the JNV are allegedly involved in the conspiracy of expelling the innocent students from the JNV.
However the matter was resolved o December 4 by a representative of the Regional Office of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Shillong by terminating two teachers from their service who were found guilty for the conspiracy.
Later some teachers led by one Robindro planned to expel the innocent students fearing that they might be also terminated from their service if the authority found that they were also part of the conspiracy.
The teachers were planning to expel the innocent students from the school when they disclosed facts about the facilities they are not getting which they should be provided with.
Keeping in view of the situation, MSF appealed to the school authority to call back those students who left the JNV under the instigation of the accused teachers and resumed normal classes.
Demanding to terminate the teachers who are involved in hatching the conspiracy, MSF warned the school authority that they will shut down the JNV if the authority does not terminate the accused teachers from their post.
