On the occasion of Statehood Day of Manipur on January 21, Association of Voluntary Blood Donors.
Manipur in collaboration with Manipur State AIDS Control Society; State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur; Department of Immunohaematology & Blood Transfusion, RIMS and Blood Bank, JN Hospital would be organising two voluntary blood donation camps, one at RIMS Hospital, Lamphel and the other at JN Hospital, Porompat, from 10 am to 3.30 pm under the theme of 'Save Manipur with safe blood�.
Healthy persons between the age group of 18 to 60 years have been invited to donate blood at these camps.
According to a statement issued by secretary of Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, Manipur Pradeep Saikia, donating blood regularly (once every three months) is beneficial for health.
It reduces the risk of Heart Attack and many other health problems.
