Senior Citizens condemns killing of Dr Naorem Kunjabihari

Imphal, January 18, 2011:
The Senior Citizens for Society strongly condemned the killing of Dr Naorem Kunjabihari, Chairman, Board of Secondary Education Manipur on January 11 in his office.
Terming the killing as an act of terrorism which cannot be exonerated in a civilized society, the organization demanded to those responsible for the gruesome act to clarify the reasons for the killing.
It also appealed to the state government to immediately investigate and book the killers of Dr N Kunjabihari.
The Council of Tribal Literature Societies, Manipur also strongly condemned the killing of Kunjabihari by unknown person in his office chamber.
Calling it as an act of cowardice and a crime against all the communities of the state, the council expressed profound grief on his untimely demise and share the pain and sorrow of the members of the bereaved family.
A press release of the council stated that Kunjabihari was a dedicated senior officer who was committed to the cause of education in Manipur and he was working in his different capacities in the Education Department.
The council appealed to the state government to book the culprit and those behind the killing of Kunjabihari.
