Imphal, September 28 2026: The Manipur Naga Youth Organisation (MNYO) has urged the Government to immediately dispatch State security forces at vulnerable villages in the hills to secure the lives and properties of the civilians against militant attacks.

In a statement, the MNYO said the Government must immediately dispatch State security forces to Khamsom Bazar, Bena and Onaeme Taphou in Senapati district, Chawangkining, Langka, Tapon, Thonglang Atongba, Piporam, Tebram and Makui in Kangpokpi district.

These villages have faced repeated attacks, it added.

While urging Naga villages to remain vigilant, the MNYO said it strongly condemns recent Kuki militant attacks on Naga villages and killings of civilians.

The recent murder of a young student between Tamei and Takou on September 21, carnage at Tazeikaiphun on September 23, murder of four innocent civilians at Pilong on September 24 and another three civilians of Kalenjang on September 26 are instances of a sustained aggression initiated by Burmese Kuki mercenaries, KNA-B in close association with their kins in Manipur including KNF-P, KLA, KNA and KRA, it asserted.

It further alleged that even when Indian villages have been attacked by militants from across the border, the Central security forces have remained silent.

It also condemned the State Government for not acknowledging the external aggressions that have taken place in its soil, and denounced Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen for "ignoring the unimaginable sufferings of the Nagas who are confronting persistent abduction, killings, arson and attacks in her own Kangpokpi district." The MNYO urged Nagas to display signboards asserting their "Right to prohibit entry to outsiders including Armed Forces" in their villages under Section 16 of the Village Authority Act, 1956 .
