38 years of SHRI : Shija Eye Care Foundation holds free eye camp

To mark the 38 years of medical revolution in the region, Shija Eye Care Foundation organised a two-day free eye camp at Shija Hospitals, Langon on July 8 and 10 .
A team of experts from the Department of Ophthalmology provided comprehensive eye care for Glaucoma, Cornea, Retina, Squint, Ptosis, Cataract, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Oculoplasty during the camp which was supported by Shija OPTICALS, said SHRI deputy manager in a release.
More than 500 individuals were screened for eye-related issues, with 128 operable cases including 78 Cataracts, 42 Pterygiums, 4 Entropions, 2 Squints, 1 Blepharoplasty and 1 Excision case, it said.
The National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB-NHM) will offer free cataract surgeries for the patients, it said.
PMJAY and CMHT cardholders may also avail themselves of the facilities for all procedures, it said.
