District level quiz competition held, prizes distributed

Khangabok Development Society (KDS) organised a district level written quiz competition for Class VII to X students living in relief camps under the theme "Let Us Know Our State Manipur" at Progressive English School, Wangjing-Lamding today.
The quiz competition was kicked off at 11:30 am and prizes were distributed to the winners and participants, said a statement issued by N Kirankumar, publicity secretary, KDS.
Students seeking shelter in relief camps at Khangabok, Lamding and Wangjing took part in today's written quiz competition.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Dr N Rajivkumar Singh, principal IRE Group of Institutions, Wangjing as the chief guest; Th Rajnikanta Singh, principal, Elangbam Komol Singh, vice principal, Progressive High School, Wangjing Lamding as the guest of honour; Lenin Khumancha, president, KDS as the functional president and RK Kaiku, social worker as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Kaiku encouraged the students to work hard in order to become responsible citizens and build a better Manipur.
Meanwhile, Dr N Rajivkumar Singh stated that students will achieve success if they approach their chosen field with determination.
He also urged parents and guardians to support their ward in pursuing the career path of their choice.
The gathering then observed a one-minute silence to pay their respects to the martyrs who have laid down their lives in the ongoing conflict.
