13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League : Bala double fires MPSC 3-0 past YWC-Th as YWC-L seal third win

Bala scored twice to help MPSC romp past Youth Welfare Club-Thambalkhong 3-0 as YWC-Langthabal edged past UPSA-Pukhao 2-1 for the third win in the ongoing 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League today at Artificial Turf Ground.
MPSC who had suffered two loses and held twice in the previous four matches, came out of their poor run today to secure the comfortable win against lowly Thambalkhong side.
Ngangom Bala, had shot to fame by becoming first Indian women footballer to sign for a foreign club, opened the score early in the 7th minute before her teammate Salam Rinaroy had her way to put MPSC 2-0 ahead of YWC-Th after 16 minutes.
Ngangom Bala scored another in the 51st minute to make sure MPSC sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Later in the day, defending champions YWC-Langthabal extended their unbeaten run to 5 games with a 2-1 beating of UPSA.
Remi Thokchom earned YWC-L the lead with a beautiful goal in the 23rd minute before Toijam Thoibisana Chanu doubled the advantage in the 35th minute.
UPSA pulled back a goal through Nongmeikapam Sibani after 38 minutes but the team failed to make a comeback in the later half and eventually YWC walked home 2-1 for the third win in five matches (first leg) .
ICSA-Irengbam will play KRYPHSA-Naoremthong in the next match on October 16 from 8 am before YWC-L take on ESU from 10 am .
