One-day outreach prog organised

Imphal, October 16 2022: A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 8 years of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan, was organised by Regional Office of Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Imphal at Khamlang village under Kasom Khullen sub-division in Kamjong district.

Informing that the programme was presided over by Khamlang village headman Mahaiwung Shanglai, CBC, Imphal pro gramme in-charge Thokchom Anthony said in a release that as resource person of the programme, Ukhrul district horticulture development officer Thuimaya Kashung elaborated on National Integrated Horticulture Mission and PM Fasal Bima Yojana.

He said that the soil texture of Kamjong district is suitable for plantation of lemon, kiwi, banana and dragon fruit.

Contributions of the unsung heroes of the Indian freedom struggle from Manipur namely, Hijam Irabot, prince Saha Chahi Ahum, Mount Manipur was also discussed amongst others.

Later, Azadi Quest quiz contest was organised and prizes for the same distributed to the winners.

Private Registered Troupes (PRT) of Imphal Artiste Union, Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai performed a magic show.
