MSF calls for drafting of Manipur State Youth Policy
assures initiation of several campaigns

Manipuri Students' Federation has urged the State Government to draft a Manipur State Youth Policy to solve the problem of mass unemployment prevalent among the youth of the State.
This statement was made by Maibam Julesh, newly appointed president of MSF at the oath taking and charge handing and taking over ceremony of newly appointed office bearers of Manipuri Students' Federation was held today at MSF, Head Office Complex located at Kwakeithel.
Takhellambam Inaobi Singh, Dean, School of Education, Manipur University oversaw the ceremony as Oath Commissioner while Ngariyanbam Milan, advisor, MSF; Kh Serajjudin, advisor, MSF; Oinam Ashinikumar Singh, advisor, MSF and Khangembam Bidyasagar, former president were present as presidium members.

Altogether, 41 new office bearers of MSF participated in the oath taking ceremony and had charges assigned to them.
Notably, Maibam Julesh was appointed as president of MSF, Tekcham Surjit as general secretary and Kabrabam Abhijeet as publicity secretary.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly appointed president of MSF announced the action plan of XIX Federal Executive Council MSF, 2022-23.He assured that under MSF's 'Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi' academic campaign, both Government and private schools will be scrutinized intensely.
Touching upon the Education Minister's goal to rationalize all Government school teachers by October 31, he questioned how many schools can this move save.
Further, he shared that MSF will conduct a series of surveys in the interest of Government schools and the economically downtrodden students who cannot afford to study in private schools.
Citing the mushrooming of various private schools and coaching institutes, the MSF president also appealed for strict implementation of The Manipur Private School (Registration & Regulation) Act 2017 and Manipur Coaching Institute (Control & Regulation) Act 2017 .
He also appealed to the State Government to draft and implement a Manipur State Youth Policy in order to address the problem of youth unemployment.
Highlighting the increasing moral degradation of students despite receiving quality education and their lack of knowledge about the history and tradition of Manipur, he stated that MSF will launch a new campaign titled 'Eikhoi Khunnai Khangminashi' from this new term.
Aside from this, he added that MSF will also launch a drug use prevention campaign to combat widespread abuse of drugs in the State.
Referring to the pressing issue of the climate crisis, he stated that MSF has taken up many initiatives in this regard.
In future, MSF will expand its campaign "Shanghanlasi Manipur" with the support of the concerned stakeholders and relevant departments, he added.
Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, president, AMUCO emphasized on the need for student unions to study the social challenges, issues and changes and advised students from dedicating their entire focus on college and university elections.
The event was also attended by various officials of MSF and representatives of several CSOs.
