Men's Polo: MPSC-B ease into semis as MPSC-C storm past SPC into quarterfinals

MPSC-B eased their way into the semifinals of the 37th Men's State Polo Tournament 2022 while MPSC-C pummelled Samurou Polo Club 9-1 to book a place in the quarterfinals.
T Pradeepkumar grabbed four goals in MPSC-B's comfortable 7-3 win over Arbind Polo Club.
A goal each from H Abung Khuman, O Suresh and Pradeepkumar gave MPSC-B a dominant 3-1 lead in the first chukker as S Bonbon scored for Arbind PC, who got back on level terms in the second chukker through W Abothe.
After conceding in the second period, MPSC-B roared into action in the third chuk ker where they stamped their authority with a pair of goals from Pradeepkumar and one from Suresh as the scoreline read 6-2.In the fourth chukker, Pradeepkumar added a goal to complete his four-goal salvo to help MPSC-B enjoy a 7-3 victory en route to the semifinals.
Arbind PC's goal in the fourth period was scored by A Abung Singh.
Meanwhile, S Bimol scored a treble as MPSC-C churned out a massive 9-1 win over Samurou Polo Club.
MPSC-C started off with a commanding 3-0 lead in the first chukker courtesy of strikes from S Abungcha, S Bimol and M Jawan.
In the second chukker, the police side further stretched their lead with two goals courtesy of S Viking and S Abungcha.
MPSC, however, went into a lull in the third chukker while O Paikhomba reduced the deficit for Samurou PC.
In the fourth chukker, MPSC-C pumped in four more goals with S Bimol scoring a double and W Roshan and M Jawan collecting one each to close out the game in style.
