RULE, YWC romp; KCC beat PCC in Superplate cricket

KCC (Kongpal Bazar), RULE (Malom) and YWC (Langthabal) notched up victories in Wednesday's fixtures of the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament.
KCC beat PCC (Mayai Koibi) by 16 runs at Oriental College Ground.
The winning side opted to bat first and garnered 172/6 in the stipulated 40 overs.
Kongbrailatpam Sanjit Sharma (52), Nongmaithem Dijarai (45), Keisham Mranojit (28) and Rohen Singh (21) were key contributors in KCC's innings.
In reply, PCC failed to chase down the target after being bowled out for 156 in 39.1 overs as efforts from Vikas (28), Longjam Gibson (24) and Huidrom Dhanashyam (20) were not enough.
Yumnam Sheiteendra destroyed the major chunk of the PCC's batting order, picking 4 wickets while Ningombam Tony claimed 2 scalps and Loktongbam ozzy and Singthoi Nandeibam took a wicket each to help their side seal the victory.
Earlier, M Jobanta bagged 2 wickets, and C Ranjan, Chingheihunba Meitei, T Anand and T Monet took one each for PCC.
Y Sheiteendra was named the man of the match.
RULE, meanwhile, thumped TCMDC (Thongju) by 8 wickets at Langthabal Public Ground.
RULE bundled out TCMDC for 78 in 21.4 overs with the help of Thokchom Kishan, who snapped 4 wickets, N Sarojkumar (2), Jay Hourakcham (2) and Md Karim (1).After their brilliant bowling show, RULE needed just 12 overs t o achieve their target courtesy of Jay Hourakcham (38 not out), Mutum Sudhir (26) and Rk Herachandra (1 not out).
L Vivekananda and Huirongbam Babulu took a wicket apiece for the losing side.
Jay Hourakcham was the man Of the match.
In other match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, YWC recorded a massive 175-run win over THAU (Thangmeiband).
Electing to bat, YWC posted a competitive total of 274/9.In the innings, Jiko Sorokhaibam took centre stage with a fine knock of 91 off 95 balls, backed by valuable contributions from Maibam Sunbash (37), Seram Robinson (30), Ngangbam Bingson (26), Leishangthem Bishorjit 26) and Ngangbam Brikramjit 24).YWC then wiped out THAU's batting lineup in 21 overs as the latter ended up managing 99.Albert Sorokhaibam and Ngangbam Bishwash equally shared 6 wickets between them, with Ngangbam Bingson chipping in with 2 scalps in their emphatic triumph.
Jiko Sorokhaibam earned the man-of-the-match accolade.
