Wins for PCC, PTCC, YUCC in MNCA Superplate Tournameri

PCC (Mayai Koibi), PTCC (Patsoi) and YUCC (Kwakeithel) notched up convincing victories in Wednesday's matches of the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament played across three different venues.
PCC inflicted a crushing 8-wicket defeat on PSC (Khuyathong) at Langthabal Public Ground.
They bundled out their opponents for 122 in 29.1 overs and then chased down their target in 17.4 overs.
PCC's run chase was spearheaded by Charoibam Tyson Singh who scored 68 off 53 balls, with contributions from Huidrom Dhanashyam Meitei (20 not out) and Vikas (17) .
Earlier, YUCC's Ibungomacha Hijam (35), Yengkhom Bhomendro Singh (20) and Kharaijam Sagarjit Singh (16) were the batters who got into double digits.
Chingakham Ranjan was the pick of PCC's bowlers, racking up a 4-wicket haul in his 6-over spell.
Mathurabashimayum Jobanta and Thoudam Monet did their bit with 2 wickets apiece as L Chingheihunba and Thokchom Anand accounted for a wicket each.
Chingakham Ranjan earned the man-of-the-match accolade.
PTCC, on the other hand, beat THAU (Thangmeiband) in a low-scoring match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
PTCC batted first and were dismissed for 126 in 27.1 overs.
In the innings, Dominic Moirangthem (29), Naorem Victor Meitei (21) and Paonam Champion Singh (17) were the main run-getters for the Patsoi side.
Chittaranjan Ngangom turned out to the chief destroyer for THAU, finishing with a remarkable haul of 6 wickets, with Nicholas and Rabikanta Sharma taking 2 each.
But PTCC bowlers, in turn, needed 21.4 overs to wipe out THAU's batting order.
The Thangmeiband side could only manage 60 runs in their chase as Rabikanta Sharma, who collected 22, was the only batter who could score in double figures.
Deepak led the PTCC attack that saw him scalp 4 wickets as Thangjam Mocha claimed 2 and Sohail Akram, Naorem Victor and Dominic Moirangthem bagged 1 each to propel their team to a convincing win.
At Oriental College Ground, YUCC defeated ESU (Wangkhei) by 53 runs.
Electing to bat, YUCC accumulated 201/9 with the help of Ningthoujam Sanjit (57), Thoiba Ningthoujam (38), Laishram Bidyashwor (19) and Ningthoujam Rohit (18) .
The team then bowled out ESU for 148 in 38 overs.
Khudrakpam Punshiba snapped 3 wickets, Kadamjit Moirangthem claimed 2, and Ningthoujam Sanjit, Ningthoujam Rahulkumar and Ningthoujam Amarjit took 1 each to help YUCC seal the victory.
