Capping ceremony of GNM students held

Capping cum oath taking ceremony for 6th batch students of GNM School of Nursing, Churachandpur was held on Wednesday at the premises of the school.
CMO Churachandpur Kimngaihching Simte attended the event as chief guest while district hospital nursing superintendent Esther Ninglianching and pastor TN Muanthang were present as guests of honour.
Capping and oath taking was administered by school principal N Tangbi Devi while pastor TN Muanthang performed blessing prayer for the students.
During her speech, Kimngaihching advised the trainee nurses not to lose commitment in their work and be pleasing while caring patients.
N Tangbi Devi, in her speech, noted that GNM School of Nursing is the only government run nursing institution in the state and it has completed 38 years.
The school had only ANM course earlier but it has been upgraded to GNM since 2015 and the first GNM batch started from October 26, 2016 and now it has produced the 6th batch.
She also said that steps are being initiated to open 50-seat capacity BSc nursing course in the school.
