Schools repaired, medical camp held

As part of Operation Sadbhavna, Khoupum Battalion of Spear Corps under IGAR (South) renovated five schools at Khoupum Bazar, Laphok, Namkaolang III, Namkaolang II and Khongbung villages in Noney district.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the renovated schools were handed over to the village chiefs in the presence of villagers on Tuesday.
The locals extended their heartfelt gratitude to the security forces for the noble gesture of building a toilef block, provisioning of library with books and renovation of five schools in five different villages in Noney district, it added.
On the other-hand, Moreh Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a free medical camp at T Bongmol village, Moreh in Tengnoupal district on Wednesday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the camp was organised to provide free medical treatment and consultation to the villagers of T Bongmol and nearby villages where medical facilities are not available.
Apart from providing medical check-up and medicines, information on various essential aspects were also provided to the villagers including hygiene, sanitation, Covid-19 pandemic, lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, women health, etc., by the CMO Moreh Battalion.
A total of 133 patients were examined by a team of doctors from Moreh Battalion Unit Hospital.
