Rk Bhogen lifted the trophy of 25th Anou Chess tournament

Imphal, June 23 2015 :
Defending champion Rk Bhogen defeated Lalgopal to win the title of the 25th Anou Singh Memorial State Level Open Chess Tournament 2015 on Tuesday at the Imphal College Multipurpose Hall.
At the end of the final round Y Shangkar stood second position, O Ningthem Singh, L Athembi, N Bangkim, T Manikanta, L Lalgopal, RK Apollosana, A Binit, Kh Sanjoy, P Chittaranjan, S Premjit were placed at 3rd to 12th position respectively.
The winner of the tournament received a cash award of Rs 25,000 and Trophy, second and third prize winner got Rs 18,000 and Rs 10,000.

All the position holders including other sub title award winners received cash prize.
Best fair play of the tournament went to Laishram Modhuchandra, most promising player to L Kenedy.
While Y Yaisana got the first best girl followed by other four best girl players.
Besides N Yohenba, Atom Alex, Lanheiba Loitongbam, Y Kala got recognition titles and award from Tiddim Steel and Cement Award.
Altogether 92 players including 35 rated players had participated in the tournament organised by Kwakeithel Chess Club.
Dr T Meinya MP, RK Anand MLA, S Rashi president Kwakeithel Chess Club took part in the closing function on Tuesday.
