JAC suspends Thoubal bandh

The indefinite Thoubal district bandh called by Joint Action Committee (JAC) which was formed on the killing of Laishram Sanaton, a resident of Khangabok Awang Leikai Part-1 will suspend the ongoing stir for a day on Wednesday since CM O Ibobi has invited on a talk.
Enraged public and supporters of the JAC blocked the national highway on Tuesday at Khangabok area, Arong thong and Wangbal where vehicular movements were obstructed.

It may be recalled that in a hit and run case Laisharam Sanaton, a teacher of Nambol Hr.
Sec School was run over by a Tata Sumo on June 16 while he was strolling with his wife at around 3.45 am and he later succumbed to his injuries.
The JAC demanding to book the suspected vehicle with driver called an indefinite bandh on Thoubal district from Tuesday onwards.
It may also be mentioned that many student organizations especially KSA Thoubal district had declared to support the campaign of the JAC.
