Beru Khudam, Bungsong FC, Thungcheng FC win in Thungkhu 9-A-Side football tourney

Beru Khudam, Bungsong FC and Thungcheng FC emerged victorious in today's matches of the 1st Thungkhu 9-A-Side Football Tournament organised by Thungcheng Youth Club since yesterday.
The tournament is participated by 21 teams clubbed into two groups and the opening day saw United Brothers SC beat United FC 1-0 and St Petung MT thrash Alal Mangthi 3-0 .
In today's first match, BERU Khudam beat Julbangching FC 5-4 on penalties after a 4-4 regulation time draw.
Julbangching posted a 4-0 first half lead in this match as LV Anand quickfired two goals back to back in the 5th and the 14th minute before WS Apanson (22') and WL Gladson (29') netted a goal apiece.
However, Beru Khudam made an unexpected comeback and ended the regulation time in a thrilling 4-4 draw courtesy goals from Lh Thangnahring (41'), HB Oliver (54'), KL Riverson (66') and KL Angningwar (70+3') .
Eventually the game was decided by penalty shoot-out where KL Riverson, HI Atlee, KL Morningson, KL Angningwar and Oliver all found the target to give Beru Khudam next round berth.
WI Gladson, Kh Koti, WI Joyiash and Rengthot were on target for the losing side in the shoot-out.
In the second match of the day, an own goal by David proved costly as Bungsong FC notched up a 4-1 win over Thungcheng FC-B .
Robert (4'), an own by David (11'), Lungoumang (40'), Khaiminthang (52') gave Bungsong FC the 4-1 victory today as New Year scored the only goal for Thungcheng FC-B in the 59th minute.
The third match saw Thungcheng FC-A playing out a 1-1 draw with Vapha Vapha FC during regulation time before sealing a 5-4 shoot-out win.
Thungcheng were first to strike in the 25th minute via Mackson but KL Harmon pulled level for Vapha Vapha FC three minutes later to make it 1-1 till the end of regulation time.
In the penalty shoot-out, Thungcheng FC-A slotted home five goals via Shetngam, Shingval, Jingphahman, Moses and Ajule against four goals by Vapha Vapha FC's KL Jhotha, KL Harmon, KL Moshimla and RT Lingni.
