RBCC Youth Day Sport Meet begins

The 37th RBCC Youth Day Sport Meet organised by Baptist Youth Fellowship, Longmai-4 Baptist Church kicked off on Friday at Longmai Part-4 Peaceland Playground, Noney district headquarters.
The opening ceremony of the sport event held with Hannah Kamei, additional secretary PHED, veterinary, labour & employment, as chief guest and Gailung Gangmei, chairman Longmai Bazar Board, as guest of honour.
Altogether, 4 football teams and same number of volleyball teams are competing in the two-day sports event.
In the 1st match of the football competition, Mount Sinai (women society) defeated Mount Olive (BYF) 1-0
scoreline.
Speaking at the event, Hannah Kamei stressed the need for both social and spiritual development with positive mindset in the society.
She encouraged the youth and the women to get involved in social change with sincerity and dedication.
"Youth is the best part of life that can manifest in many ways.
So we need to train them in the way they should go and explore their talent.
As the path of social change is very fast, we need to guide and lead our upcoming youths in positive prospective so that can become good citizens in our society and take part in the nation building", the chief guest added.
Cultural dances performed by troupe of Women Society, Longmai -IV Baptist Church enthralled the audience of the event.
