Imphal, October 28 2022: Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a wreath laying ceremony on Friday for Rfn/GD KR Tangkhul (G/49295) of 4 Assam Rifles.

According to PRO IGAR (S), KR Tangkhul attained martyrdom during a brutal attack on the ROP party near Tollui (Ukhrul-Tollui) Road on October 28,1968.In retaliation to insurgent ambush KR Tangkhul sustained gunshot wounds and succumbed, thereby laying down his life as supreme sacrifice for the nation, the PRO added.
