11th Manipur Veteran Cricket Championship : DSU thrash UCC by 9 wickets

Riding on a blistering 59 runs off 47 balls not out from Sunil, Dynamic Sports Club trounced Uripok Cricket Club by an overwhelming 9 wickets at the 11th Manipur Veteran Cricket Championship Tournament today.
Winning the toss, UCC opted to bat and were bundled out for 88 runs in 24.2 overs.
Ritikumar and Brogen led the charge of DSU taking three wickets each with Sachikumar and Bishworjit chipping in with one wicket each to restrict the Uripok team to a paltry 88 runs in 10 overs.
The chief contributions for UCC came from the bat of Bhorot who scored 42 off 58 balls followed by a painstaking 20 off 45 balls from Mac Mohan.
After bundling out UCC for 88 runs in 24.2 overs, Sunil of DSU got into the act and scored a brisk 59 runs off only 47 balls finding the gaps on either side of the wicket.
The domination of Sunil was complete as each loose ball was despatched to the boundary with ease.
Poor fielding only helped the cause of Sunil as he repeatedly managed to beat the fielders of UCC on the wrong foot.
Bishworjit of DSU also chipped in with a valuable 17 runs off 30 balls.
The lop sided match ended with DSU losing only one wicket, the honour of scalping the lone wicket going to Surjit of UCC.
For his dominating display over the ball and scoring a blistering 59 runs off only 47 balls, Sunil walked away with the man of the match award.
In tomorrow's match REYS will take on CHAMP.
The tournament is being organised by the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association, Imphal, which is affiliated to the Board of Veteran Cricket in India.
