ZYF revises non-cooperation stand

The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has decided to call off the non-coperation movement against Longmai village for a week to enable the village to submit a written clarification in regards to the incident which occurred on the night of December 12, 2013, where some ZYF leaders were assualted.
According to statement issued by Jaomuna Kamei, Secreatry, Information and Publicity, ZYF(AMN), the union held a meeting at its head office today and decided to temporarily call off the movement for a week and to summon the assaulters to appear at the ZYF head office on January 30, 2014 .
It further added that the non-cooperation movement was declared not against the village but against the crime meted out and the movement was based on the customary and traditional practice of Zeliangrong.
The Chairman and Headman of Longmai(Noney) village had issued a press statement on January 18 and 19 stating the incident as unfortunate and was not related to village.
