Ranji Trophy: Sikkim lead Manipur by 148 runs

Manipur's progress was stalled by Sikkim's prolific attack on the second day of their Ranji Trophy plate group semifinal match at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat (Gujarat) .
The state squad who resumed their first innings on 46/1 on Wednesday added 120 runs before being dismissed.
B Rahman finished with 31 off 95 balls, Kishan Singh scored 27 off 67 balls, Jotin Pheiroijam earned 25 off 50 balls, and Rex managed 17 off 21 balls.
Other contributors in the innings were Priyojit K (15), Shah (13), Ronald M (10), Langlonyamba M (8), Bikash Singh (2) and P Prafullomani (1) .
Bijay led the Sikkim attack that crippled Manipur, claiming four scalps as Sumit and Lee Yong Lepcha picked up two wickets each, with Palzor and Tarun Sharma accounting for one each.
After bowling out Manipur for 166, Sikkim had a shaky start in their second innings with their top order falling cheaply before Ashish Thapa (30 not out) and Sumit (44 not out) steadied the innings and led their team to 85 for four at stumps, leading Manipur by 148 runs.
Kishan Singha unsettled Sikkim with a superb bowling spell, removing opener Pankaj Kumar Rawat (3), Tarun Sharma (1) and Nilesh Lamichaney (0) while fellow Jotin Pheiroijam dismissed Arun Chettri for 3 .
