Social Welfare Minister highlights need of de-stressing students

Imphal, January 18 2023:
The Department of Education (S) in association with Zonal Education Office Zone-1 organised a painting competition at Kwakeithel Moirangpurel community hall under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 which is a part of the "Exam Warriors" movement.
The painting competition was divided into two categories, namely, Category A (Class VI to VIII) and Category B (Class IX to XII) and witnessed the participation of around 300 students.
Speaking in this connection, Heikham Dingo, Fisheries and Social Welfare Minister pointed out that the pressure of exams sometimes cause immense tension in students.
In this regard, he shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had written the book "Exam Warriors" to help students deal with the stress of examinations.
As a part of this "Exam Warriors" movement, many activities such as painting competitions have been organised under Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 across the country to help students to de-stress, free their minds and prepare for their examinations without any tension, he said.
He shared that today's painting competition was also a part of the overall effort to help students overcome exam stress.
The Minister went on to add that the participants of the painting competition had been instructed to base their paintings on three out of the twenty-five exam related teachings enumerated by the Prime Minister in "Exam Warriors" .
These are "Exams are like festivals, celebrate them", "Exams test your current preparation so chill" and "Be a warrior not a worrier" .
Other dignitaries present at the event include Karam Shyam, MLA, Langthabal Constituency and O Lukhoi, former MLA.
It is worth noting that in Category A of the painting competition, Kalpita Laishram (Class VIII), Irom Meijrao High School; Ningombam Priscilla (Class VIII), Kendriya Vidyalaya, Leimakhong No 3 and Sunaina Saikhom (Class VII), KVS No 1, Lamphel secured the first, second and third positions respectively.
Meanwhile, in Category B, Taorem Riya (Class XII), TG Higher Secondary School; Yaikhombi Loitongbam (Class XI), KV No 1, Lamphel and Nubia Hodam (Class IX), Little Flower School emerged as the first, second and third prize winners respectively.
