RBCC Women's Conference kicks off

The 5th Women Conference of Rongmei Baptist Churches Council (RBCC) kicked off yesterday at Gaidimjang Ground, Khoupum Valley in Noney district under the theme "Godly women in the changing world".
The program which was hosted by Khoupum Area Churches Fellowship (KACF) is set to conclude on January 20.Over 15,000 delegates from more than 200 Churches under RBCC including fellowship Churches from Assam, Manipur and Nagaland participated in yesterday's opening ceremony.
It may be noted that the program commenced with a hall dedication by Rev Gaiphanang Panmei, vice president, RBCC and flag hoisting by Rev Mansi Gangmei, general secretary RBCC.
This was followed by a presentation of 'Hallelujah Chorus Song' sung by Khoupum Area Churches Fellowship Youth.
Ringamang Gangmei, chairman, 5th Women Conference delivered the welcome speech while Khangmei Gonmei, coordinator, 5 th Women Conference presented the dignitaries with simple gifts.
Chairman of Hill Areas Committee (HAC) and MLA of Nungba Assembly Constituency, Dinganglung Gangmei also graced the event as a special guest.
He extended his best wishes to all the women delegates and encouraged them to be good, wise and responsible women.
Rev Apila Thangal, women secretary, Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) and Kariuganhliu Kamei Koza, founding managing director and counsellor of Centre for Integrated Counseling Services, Kohima, Nagaland were present as main speakers at the conference.
Meanwhile, Hannah Kamei, IAS, Additional Secretary, PHED, Veterinary, Labour & Employment; Akeina Gonmei, development secretary, Rongmei Baptist Churches Association, Nagaland (RBCAN) and Dr Florence Dangmei, Commandant, Med 184 Bn, CRPF West Bengal were present as resource persons.
The opening ceremony witnessed many activities and events such as choir song competition, cultural program and seminar on the topics of "family management", "health care" and "social media and its impact" presented by the resource persons.
