Speaking to media persons at his office, here, on Wednesday, P Doungel maintained that it was not any easy task for Kakching district police to seize drugs from five personnel of Kakching district police commando unit, posted in Moreh and the seizure is a part of a big operation launched by the district police.
While stating that different strategies were put in place to arrest them, he reiterated that such seizure from among the police is not a piece of cake.
The DGP informed that Manipur police have taken up more than 2,243 cases in connection with seizure of drugs including heroin, opium, brown sugar and WY tablets from January 1,2017 till January 17, 2023 of which 2817 people including 595 women were arrested.
