63rd CC Meet 2021-22 : TRAU, KLASA kick off group campaign with comfortable wins

TRAU, Kwakeithel registered a 4-2 win against Oriental Club their Group F opener in the ongoing 63rd CC Meet as KLASA sealed a comprehensive 3-0 victory over NACO, Nambul Mapal in the Group G opener today at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the second Group F league match and today's first, TRAU and Oriental Club produced a neck and neck competition and entered into the break with the score locked at 2-2 .
Oriental Club took an unexpected lead with Aimso- chitung finding the net in the 13th minute but E Santosh helped TRAU draw level in the 17th minute with a clinical finish.
Wungsung-ngam then helped TRAU overturn the lead in the 25th minute before Alan Hyungyo struck in the 32nd minute to bring Oriental Club on level terms.

After settling the break in a 2-2 draw, TRAU raced ahead in the 52nd minute courtesy Dinku Sharma goal in the 52nd minute.
To Oriental Club's disappointment, Alan Hyungyo was sent off as he picked up a second yellow card in the 62nd minute and eventually TRAU enjoyed numerical superiority.
Although they were reduced to 10-man, Oriental Club managed to hold their fort until Bishal Robidas sneaked through and further extended TRAU's lead to 4-2 four minutes away from time.
With Oriental Club failing to make the most of their chances in the closing minute, TRAU cruised home 4-2 .
Meanwhile in the Group G opener, Lunminlen scored a goal each side of the halftime to hand KLASA FC a 3-0 win over NACO in a lopsided encounter.
Lunminlen scored the opener 13 minutes into the game to ensure KLASA a 1-0 first half lead before N Momocha slammed home the second goal in the 59th minute.
KLASA gave no NACO respite despite the comfortable lead and Lunminlen hit his second into the stoppage time (90+2') to complete the 3-0 rout of the Nambul Mapal team.
The second Group G league match and today's penultimate match, Mao FC sealed a narrow 1-0 win over DFA Moreh thanks to a stoppage time goal by A Manihrii (90+3') .
RAU will open up Group H campaign against UBSA, Mantak tomorrow from 11.45 am before PAMYAL, Patsoi take on XI-Star SU in the second Group G league match from 2.15 pm .
