Imphal, February 11 2022:
Troops of Tengnoupal Battalion of IGAR (S) recovered illegal goods worth Rs 16.9 lakh in Tengnoupal district on Friday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that troops of Assam Rifles uncovered a large number of packages concealed in thick foliage in the forest near Kwatha village during a border domination patrol.
On thorough search of the packages, illegal goods including foreign cigarettes, cosmetic items and betel nuts were recovered.
The recovered items have been handed over to Custom Preventive Force, Moreh for further investigation.
