12 candidates file nomination for three ACs

Ahead of the second phase election for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly, a total of 12 candidates have filed their nomination papers till date to contest in Karong, Mao and Tadubi assembly constituencies.
On Friday, PHE minister Losij Dikhp filed his nomination for Mao AC as Naga People's Front (NPF) candidate while Tadubi MLA N Kayisii entered the fray on National People's Party (NPP) ticket.
Filing of nomination for the second phase of the Assembly election ended on Friday.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be taken up on February 14 and the candidates, if any, may withdraw from the polls within February 16 .
The candidates who have submitted relevant documents for the ensuing polls are J Kumo Sha (Independent), Koho Siile Anthony (NPF), R Yuh Jonathan Tao (BJP), DD Thaisii (INC) and Thaiba Sanii (independent) for Karong AC; Losii Dikho (NPF), Woba Joram (independent) and Sanii Alexander Maikho (BJP) for Mao AC; and N Kavisii (NPP), O Lohrii (BJP), N Francis Ngajokpa (NPF) and Robert TalluMarant^mdependent)
for Tadubi AC .
