Day after the former BJP Manipur Pradesh chief spokesperson, who has been expelled from the party, accused NPP of creating instability within the BJP led government, BJYM Uripok Mandal has said that NPP is responsible for the slow progress that the state has made in the last five years.
Addressing a press meet at its office on Friday, Mandal president Taras Yengkokpam said that despite being part of the coalition government, NPP caused several disturbances within the government resulting in slow progress.
The financial position of the state weakened under NPP representative from Uripok assembly constituency and deputy chief minister Y Joykumar when he was the finance minister.
Instead of supporting the government, NPP always tried to pull down the Biren government, he said and urged the people of Uripok AC to support BJP in the ensuing election in order to bring development in Uripok AC and the state as well.
