36th National Games-Gujarat 2022 : T Inunganbi wins judo gold, K Luxmi clinches gold in Wushu

Imphal, October 09 2022:
T Inungangbi registered a gold medal in Judo and K Luxmi won a gold medal in Wushu as Manipur added four medals on Day 13 of the 36th National Games being hosted by Gujarat.
T Inunganbi won the gold medal in the women's below 70 kg category event as she beat Sonam of Punjab in the final today.
The day also saw judoka M Indubala settle for a bronze medal in the women's below 78 kg category event having lost in the semi-final to Taruna Sharma of Uttar Pradesh.
The gold medal went to Kerala's Aswathy PR and the silver medal to Taruna Sharma.

Meanwhile in the Nanquan and Nandao event, K Luxmi registered a best 17.38 points to open the gold medal account in Wushu today.
Assam's Rongila Daimary (17.05) and Geeta Xalxo of Jharkhand (16.73) finished second and third to settle for silver and bronze medal in the event.
The day also witnessed Naorem Roshibina and Haobijam Gagarin enter the semi-finals of Sanda 60 kg and below and 75 kg and below events respectively.
Naorem Roshibina who beat Rutuja Anil Surve in the first round overcame Gunjan Kumari of Punjab in the second round today to set up a semi-final clash with Nikita Bansal of Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, Haobijam Gagarin beat Aman Kumar of Bihar today in the second round to set up a semi-final date with Pankaj Raina of Jammu and Kashmir.
Triathlon
Manipur's Kabidash also won a bronze medal in the men's Triathlon event today as he took 1 hour, 5 minutes and 19 seconds to finish third in the event which consists of 750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running.
Adarsh Murlidharan Sinimol and Vishwanath Yadav of Services Sports Control Board sealed the top two places in the event.
Boxing
In boxing, two medals were assured as Myson Moirangthem and Konthoujam Parvish Chanu entered the semi-finals today with big wins over their respective rivals.
Myson, who got a first round bye in the men's lightweight competition, won 5-0 against Ritik of Delhi today in the second round.
He will meet Vijay Kumar of Punjab in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Konthoujam Parvish competing in the women's flyweight category got the better of Poonam Ramnarayan Kaithwas of Maharashtra in the second round to set up a semi-final date with Jaismine of Haryana on October 11 .
Earlier in the first round, Parvish outlasted Ritu of Chandigarh.
With today's results, Manipur continue to remain in 9th place with 38 medals including 17 gold, 5 silver and 16 bronze medals.
Services Sports Control Board, with 51 gold, 33 silver and 29 bronze medals remained in pole position followed by Haryana (31 G, 29 S and 35 B) and Maharashtra (30 G, 33 S and 56 B) in the second and third places.
