Saying that elected leaders also could not do anything for the welfare of the people, the PREPAK Chairman asked how there can be good governance of intellect, sincerity and selflessness when there is no seriousness of purpose and determination in the system.
Had Kangleipak been independent, the governance could have attained perfection.
These elections will not deliver the long standing and rightful Kanglei people's demand for independence.
The election is held to draw the people closer to India, he said.
Projects initiated in the name of welfare post alleged annexation of Kangleipak in 1949 are not truly meant for welfare in as much the same way as all the natural produce of the countries once under the British colonial regime were looted and sent to England.
Schemes launched by the India Government in the guise of welfare lead to flouting of the natural rights of the people over land, suppression of the voice of democracy, endless instigation and interference, destabilization and militarization, according to the Chairman's statement.
Though the identity of a people of a land or State is usually viewed from the perspective of the social, the political and the economic affairs, the most vital aspect is the economy.
If the people of a land cannot have a sustainable economy, the community shall die out.
Therefore, economy is the most crucial in the life of a community, it said.
However, today besides economy, social and political control of Kangleipak has fallen in the hands of a few from outside, it continued.
Since the alleged annexation of Kangleipak into India the social, political and economic identity of Kangleipak has been in a state of degeneration.
Consequently the spirit of Kanglei nationalism is gradually sinking, while on the contrary, Indian nationalism is arrogantly on the rise.
Given this context, a question arises as to how long the original Kanglei people can keep their identity, Aheiba Angom said.
Even though how Manipur became a part of India is branded as merger by India, it was annexation in the eye of international law, it alleged.
After having been forced into the political framework of India, the condition of Kangleipak has been worsening in all aspects.
"Let it not be ever forgotten that we are the descendants of those brave patriots inspired with indefatigable spirit who fought in the Seven Years Devastation and the Anglo-Manipuri War, 1891," the Chairman asserted.
From the perspective of international law, sovereignty of Kangleipak is not yet lost.
India simply obstructs and keeps it at abeyance.
The first obligation of the current generation is to make the obstruction known to the international community", he said.
The Chairman's statement added that the PREPAK saluted all those brave patriots - men and women - who have been martyred in the course of the ongoing revolutionary war to determine the destiny of Kangleipak.
The outfit also extended solidarity to all comrades who are languishing in jails.
