Demand for a full fledged blind school

Imphal, December 02, 2014:
All Tribal Blind Association of Heikakpokpi demanded that the CM must take immediate action for the upgradation of Mission Blind School of Heikakpokpi at Chandel to a full-fledged institute for the disabled students.
In a press release issued today, the association said that a meeting with the CM held in 2013 in presence of various Ministers of the state, he had given the assurance for fulfillment of their demand.
However, after this meeting, no action has been taken.
The association representatives have not been allowed to meet the CM to pess for the demand.
In this regard, the association has warned the government that various forms of agitation will be launched if the government fails to realize its demand, added the release.
