Vehicle torched
Another vehicle was reportedly torched by suspected UNC bandh supporters today around 10 am along Imphal-Jiri high-way near Konglong Namthan- jang.
Bandh volunteers torched an empty Xenon vehicle used for carrying poultry.
Guv greets
Governor of Manipur Dr Syed Ahmed has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmastami, 2015 .
In his greeting message, the Governor called upon all concerned to remind themselves of the teachings of Lord Krishna and propagate love and affection among all.

PFA, Manipur lauds
The People's For Animals (PFA), Manipur has lauded the team of Range Forest Officer and Central Forest Division for apprehending 20 trucks load of illegal red sand.
In a statement, PFA, Manipur also urged the people to contribute in conserving the environment.
Fund drive campaign
North East students of Sri Aurobindo College (M), University of Delhi have organised a fund drive campaign in the college campus on Augusr 28 and August 31 for the flood victims of Manipur.
The campaign generated Rs 9,650 while the college teachers also issued a cheque of Rs 7,500.The total amount contributed was Rs 17,150.00 .
