Children's Dignity week observance ends

The Children's Dignity week organised by Lions Club of Imphal and Lioness Club of Imphal came to an end today.
The week-long observance programme ended with a free eye screening camp today at Lions Service Centre, Sangaiprou.
It may be mentioned that the Lions and Lioness Clubs of Imphal, as part of the Children's Dignity week observance programme, had provided edible and stationery items to inmates of Children Homes at Kanglatongbi and Deulahland on Aug 30 and Sept 2 respectively.

Meanwhile, Lions and Lioness Clubs of Imphal and Lions Club of Imphal Itaroi jointly organised Teachers' Day today at Lions Service Centre.
Five teachers were honoured with gifts in recognition of their selfless contributions to the society.
Lions Club of Imphal City also organised an eye camp as part of Children's Dignitary week observance at Yaibilane Home, Keibi Sanapat, Imphal East.
Inmates of the Home and residents of the area were examined during the camp.
Lions Club of Imphal City president RK Kumarjit said the club will extend more facilities to patients with complicated eye problems.
The club also provided stationery and edible items to the Home.
